A scramble is a team format, so almost every prize you buy needs to come in fours. That one fact catches out more first-time organizers than anything else, and it is the reason a winning team ends up sharing a single trophy. This page is for the person placing the order. Personalization is free and everything ships in 1 to 2 business days.
For the winning team, the Custom Engraved Golf Champion Trophy is the piece people photograph, and at this price you can buy four without blowing the budget.
For closest to the pin and longest drive, the Champion Golf Ball Pint Glass works because it is a single-winner prize that still feels like an award.
The rest of the prize table, and the gifts that go to everyone else.
Prize buying goes wrong in the same two ways every year. Organizers buy one of something that needs to be four, and they spend the whole budget on the podium while the other ninety percent of the field gets nothing.
Count in fours, then multiply by your flights. A winning scramble team is four people, so a single trophy leaves three of them with nothing to take home. If you flight the field, every flight needs its own set. Two flights of a team prize is eight items, not two, and that is the number that should drive your budget rather than the headline prize you had in mind.
Budget the field before you budget the podium. In a 72 player scramble, eight people finish in the top two teams and sixty four do not. An event where everyone gets something decent in a tee bag is remembered better than one with an expensive trophy and nothing else. Spend down the middle rather than at the top.
Cover the three contests that always happen. Closest to the pin, longest drive, and the winning team. These get run at nearly every scramble, so buy for all three up front rather than scrambling for something the week of. The first two are single-winner prizes, which makes them the place to spend a little more per item.
A booby prize is worth more than it costs. Last place is the prize people actually talk about, and it costs almost nothing to include. It also gives the teams who played badly a reason to stay for the awards, which is when your sponsors are being thanked.
Order earlier than you think you need to. Logo items carry minimums and proofing time on top of production. Ordering six weeks out rather than two is what stops you paying for rush shipping on a charity budget.
If you are still deciding what to give out, start with our 48 Best Golf Outing Prizes and Award Ideas guide, which walks through prize categories, price points and what tends to go over well. Our Golf Scramble Rules and Formats guide covers how the format itself works, and How to Plan a Golf Outing runs through the whole event. This page is for when you already know what you want and need to place the order.
Prizes on this page run from 25 dollars to 300 dollars. Most outings land between 8 and 15 dollars per player across the whole prize and gift budget.
Trophies, pint glasses and gift baskets including the Golf Ball Tournament Trophy and the Build Your Own Golf Gift Basket.
Single-winner awards like the Golf Outing Prize Decanter and the Custom Logo Clubhouse Board.
One or two pieces only, such as the Custom Logo Golf Gift Box Set. Everything above this tier is better spent on the field.
A charity fundraiser. Every dollar on prizes is a dollar not raised, so weight toward logo items that carry the cause rather than expensive awards. Donated headline prizes and modest team trophies is the combination that raises the most.
A corporate outing. The company logo matters more than the prize value, because the point is the day out. Match the tee gift across the field and keep one nicer piece for the winning team.
A member guest or club event. These players own good golf equipment already, so a keepsake beats gear. Engraved trophies, decanters and glassware get kept. Our Golf Trophies page is the right starting point.
A small casual scramble. Six to ten teams, no flights, one set of team prizes and two contest prizes. You can run the whole thing well for a couple of hundred dollars, and the Golf Koozies page will cover the rest of the field cheaply.
Free personalization, and orders ship in 1 to 2 business days.
Ordering for a full field? Some logo items carry a minimum quantity, so check the product page before you finalize numbers.
I ordered 10 each of 10 different animal golf club covers for a tee gift for our lady's golf tournament. I believe they are going to be a big hit this year for our lady's. this year.
I went through every box and counted and examined each golf headcover and they were perfect.
I dealt with George and he helped me all the way through the ordering process and payment process. He was such a big help. I ordered them pretty early, but they arrived within a week from them receiving our payment.
Next year I will go back to him for our tee gifts in 2027.
Thanks Again George,
Theresa
These are absolutely awesome! Customer interaction was bar none (hard to find these days) but they knock it out of the park. Thank you so much.
The Best Ball Golf Accessory Set is a nice gift for outings. One thing to note is that the logo / print will be in color on the balls but black and white on the pouch.
We are having a golf tournament and ordered gifts for our contest winners. We had them customize our gifts to add our logo and the owner (George) made a bag swap for us at no extra charge! The end product turned out amazing! George was very nice and I loved that he was the one answering the phones, no menus to jump through. I highly recommend them and will be using them again next year!
Five Stars to Groovy Golfer. When what I ordered for my nephew for Christmas had production issues - I was informed promptly and offered great options. On top of that they made sure I got my customized 3 putt mug on time by upgrading my shipping speed. I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of their product and they came through for me despite setbacks. I'm their newest loyal customer.
We had a great experience with Groovy Golfer! Fantastic customer service, fast shipping, customization was perfect, AND our fragile piece was packed beautifully and arrived intact. 10/10 will be ordering from here again for our next golf tournament!
I ordered 3 of the little personalized coolers that fit into a golf club bag as gifts. I was confused about an email I received from them, so wrote them back. I received an immediate response from them. When they say they strive to have satisfied customers, they mean it! Great group of people…and the coolers were just as described.

Most outings land between 8 and 15 dollars per player across the whole prize and gift budget. Weighting that toward the field rather than the podium is what people remember, since in a 72 player scramble only eight finish in the top two teams.
Six weeks is comfortable, two is tight. Logo items carry minimum quantities and proofing time on top of production, and ordering early is what keeps you from paying rush shipping on a charity budget.
Yes, and it costs almost nothing. The booby prize is the one people talk about afterwards, and it gives the teams who played badly a reason to stay for the awards, which is when your sponsors get thanked.
